Cultural and Scientific Commission

Call for commissioners:

The Town of Parker has openings on the Parker Cultural and Scientific Commission to serve a term ending December 31, 2026. Successful applicants will have a record of past community involvement and/or volunteerism, and a passion for arts, science, history, and culture. Diversity in age, cultural background, and vocation is welcome and encouraged. openings on the Parker Cultural and Scientific Commission

To apply, please email a letter of interest detailing the reasons you believe you should be selected as a Commissioner, referencing the above-listed criteria. You must also include a resume or detailed bio. Send the email to Carrie Glassburn, Cultural Director, at cglassburn@parkerco.gov.

About the Commission

The Cultural and Scientific Commission serves as an advisory and support group for the Town of Parker Cultural Department. The Commission’s mission is to foster, implement and participate in providing opportunities for the cultural and scientific experiences for the community of Parker. Members also advise on cultural planning for the Town and make recommendations regarding cultural and scientific issues relevant to Parker citizens. Members are appointed by Town Council and serve for a period of one or two years.

Commission Meetings

The Commission meets at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue, 5:30- 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday in January, March, May, July, September and November. Agendas are posted at Town Hall approximately one week prior to each meeting (any deviation to the meeting schedule will be posted at this time).
