The Contenders are a two-man band whose music is an amalgam of classic country, folk, and rootsy rock & roll in the manner of The Band and Grateful Dead. The strong harmonies of this stripped-down guitar-and-drums combo are made up of singer/songwriter, Jay Nash and drummer, Josh Day who’ve been recording and touring together since 2013.
