Shakespeare Festival 2024
“To be or not to be, that is the question!”
Local middle school and high school students can unleash their inner thespian at the Parker Arts Shakespeare Festival April 3, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
This all-day theatrical workshop and competition gives students the opportunity to perform a scene or soliloquy from a Shakespeare play (of their choice). Each performance will be judged and scored by a panel of local experts. The day culminates with a showcase of performances from the highest scoring students who will reenact their scenes on the PACE stage in front of fellow peers and family.
Our mission for this event is to increase appreciation and understanding of Shakespeare works, provide an opportunity for youth to perform, foster community creativity and engagement and generate awareness of Parker Arts education and enrichment opportunities.
Teachers can register student participants and typically select group scenes and/or soliloquies in advance. Homeschooled participants can also register as individuals or with a group.
Registration fees will be collected by the teacher and submitted to Parker Arts Education. Registration fee per student is $40.00 and includes a collectible t-shirt. Scholarships are available upon request. For questions or payment information, please contact Special Events Coordinator Lindsay Bagby at: firstname.lastname@example.org, 303.805.3379.
See you in April, 2024!
