Parker Arts Lecture: The Buzz on Bees – How to Support Colorado Pollinators

Join us at The Schoolhouse Theater on April 7, 2027 for the FREE lecture, The Buzz on Bees: How to Support Colorado Pollinators with Lisa Mason, Horticulture Specialist for Colorado State University Extension–Arapahoe County.

Did you know Colorado is home to more than 1,000 species of bees? These important pollinators play a critical role in supporting the plants and foods we rely on every day. In this engaging and informative lecture, Lisa Mason explores the fascinating world of native bees and honeybees, their unique biology, and the essential role they play in Colorado’s ecosystems.

Audiences will learn practical ways to create pollinator-friendly habitats, separate myths from facts about stinging insects, and discover simple steps that can help pollinators thrive at home and in the community. The presentation will also touch on backyard beekeeping and what it takes to support healthy bee populations in Colorado’s changing environment.

Discover the incredible impact of pollinators and how small actions can make a big difference for Colorado’s ecosystems.
