Parker Arts Lecture: The Future of Nuclear Power in Colorado

Join us for this free lecture that explores Colorado’s future use of nuclear energy on November 12, 2025, at the PACE Center Event Room.

Speaker: Robert Sanchez, Senior Nuclear Energy Analyst

What is the future of nuclear energy in Colorado? Like the rest of the country, Colorado’s demand for electricity is projected to grow, spurred by growth in several industries, including semiconductors and data centers. Even government entities and big business are investing in small modular nuclear reactors throughout the country. Guest speaker Robert Sanchez will discuss how this nuclear energy works and why today’s small modular reactors are so different from those built decades ago. He’ll explore the reasons behind the planned expansion of nuclear energy, including the prospects of bringing nuclear power to Colorado.
