Relaxed Atmosphere Performance of Family Discovery Series: Introduction to the Orchestra Quintet

Inside the Orchestra’s Introduction to the Orchestra Quintet is a hands-on musical experience for young audiences, coming to The Schoolhouse Theater on October 11, 2025!

Join us for an immersive musical experience as a quintet featuring violin, oboe, viola, cello, and trombone takes young audiences on a musical storytelling adventure. Encounter elephants, navigate a gondola through Venetian canals, and escape from a troll, all while discovering the different families of the orchestra and learning musical terms. Young attendees will have the chance to answer questions, engage with the music, meet the musicians, and explore various orchestra instruments at our Instrument Petting Zoo.

Family Discovery Series shows are affordable, educational shows that run 60 minutes or less, for the youngest of our theater patrons and the young at heart!  Recommended for ages 2- 6.

*All 12:00 p.m. Family Discovery Series performances are Relaxed Atmosphere Performances. During each 12:00 p.m. performance, there will be lowered seating capacities to allow for more space and movement between patrons, house lights will remain up, fidget toys are welcome, and use of electronic devices with headphones will be permitted.
