Parker Arts Lecture: Camping in Colorado

Before you make your summer plans, join us for this free lecture on April 1, 2026 at The Schoolhouse to explore Colorado’s unique camping options and the state’s regulations.

Speakers: Kirk Inderbitzen, Ranger Supervisor; Tiffany McCauley, Land Management Specialist; Lindsay Williams, Land Management Ranger with Douglas County Open Space and Natural Resources

With more than 4,000 campsites in Colorado’s state parks, recreational enthusiasts can discover our state’s beauty and grandeur year-round. Join us for an engaging exploration of various camping setups including car camping, backpacking and bikepacking! We’ll discuss the different land management agencies in Colorado and the types of camping they permit. Additionally, we’ll delve into the seven principles of Leave No Trace, emphasizing how to be a responsible and environmentally conscious camper. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your outdoor skills and knowledge so you too can explore our majestic Centennial state!
