A Parker Arts and Sasquatch Productions Youth Summer Musical
Into the Woods JR. features all your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.

Into the Woods JR. Cast
Ages: 10 – 18
Audition for our youth summer musical of Into the Woods JR. Students will learn the process of putting on a professional musical production while developing confidence and skills in acting, singing, and dancing. Auditions are Saturday, May 17, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Interested participants must sign up for an audition online. Students will rehearse three times a week from May 19 – Jul. 19 and present seven performances from Jul. 25 – Aug. 2.
Supplies Needed: Water bottle, pencil, clothes to move in.

Into the Woods JR. Crew
Ages: 10 – 18
Students will experience the process of working on a backstage crew for the summer youth production of Into the Woods JR. Students will meet starting Monday prior to opening night to learn the show’s technical elements and run backstage operations during all performances.
Supplies Needed: Water bottle, pencil, black clothing
