Teen Lyrical

Teen Lyrical is an exciting and challenging class designed to push young dancers to explore the emotional depth and technical precision of lyrical dance. This style combines elements of ballet, jazz, and modern, focusing on expressive movement, fluidity, and storytelling. Dancers will refine their technique, working on strength, flexibility, and control, while learning to interpret the music and convey emotions through every step. This class will challenge dancers to connect deeply with the rhythm, explore dynamic choreography, and develop their own unique artistic voice. Perfect for preteens who are ready to elevate their dance skills and express themselves in powerful, creative ways.

A $40 costume rental fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is paid to The Dance Connection the first week of class. Rented costumes must be returned after the performance to avoid additional fees.

Level of Instruction: Advanced

Equipment Needed: Dance attire is required, and lyrical shoes or Foot Undeez are encouraged.

Semester Dates: August 11– December 4
Dress Rehearsals: December 1 & 2
Performances: December 3 & 4
No Class Dates: Sept 1 (Labor Day), Oct 31 (Halloween), Nov 24-29 (Thanksgiving Break)
