On Pointe: Level 5A Ballet & Contemporary

At this level, students should embody their prior dance experience and showcase impeccable technique and placement while expanding their repertoire. They must demonstrate technical advancement and be able to focus on the quality of breath and movement. A $40 costume fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class.

Level of Instruction: Advanced

Equipment Needed: Students are expected to wear a black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with pointe shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Registration Requirements: Dancers must be taking a minimum of two additional ballet classes to dance en pointe.

Semester Dates: Aug. 12 – Dec. 7
Dress Rehearsals: Dec. 2 & 3
Performances: Dec. 4 & 5
Costume Drop Off: Friday, Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

No Class Dates: Sep. 2 (Labor Day), Oct. 31 (Halloween), and Nov. 25-30 (Thanksgiving Break)
