Level 2B Ballet

In our Level 2B Ballet class, dancers have the opportunity to deepen their study of ballet with a focus on proper technique and alignment. Students will work on strengthening their foundation, refining their posture, and improving their coordination through a variety of exercises at the barre and in the center. This class also emphasizes the development of self-awareness and self-management, skills that extend beyond the studio and into everyday life. It’s a key class for young dancers looking to advance their ballet training while building both technical and personal growth. Demi-pointe shoes are encouraged at this level for dancers pursuing pointe shoes.

A $40 costume rental fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is paid to The Dance Connection the first week of class. Rented costumes must be returned after the performance to avoid additional fees. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 2 classes, Preteen Lyrical and Preteen Hip Hop.

Level of Instruction: Intermediate to advanced

Equipment Needed: Students are expected to wear a black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers with the option of demi pointe shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Registration Requirements: Must be simultaneously enrolled in another Ballet technique class and have one year of dance training.

Semester Dates: August 11– December 4
Dress Rehearsals: December 1 & 2
Performances: December 3 & 4
No Class Dates: Sept 1 (Labor Day), Oct 31 (Halloween), Nov 24-29 (Thanksgiving Break)
