On Pointe: Level 2A Ballet & Jazz

Students in this level are expected to have some previous dance or gymnastic training. Dancers enjoy becoming a well-rounded dancer by working on technique and endurance. Dancers learn and memorize choreography as they prepare to perform on stage. Dancers will receive one ballet costume and one jazz costume. Two costume fees ($83 each) are required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class. Costume fees are made payable to On Pointe the first week of class. Dancers with more than two costume fees will receive additional costumes at a discount. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 2 classes, Preteen Lyrical and Preteen Hip Hop.

Level of Instruction: Intermediate to Advanced

Equipment Needed: Black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers and jazz pants or shorts with dance top and jazz shoes/“Foot Undeez.” Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Dress Rehearsals: May 8 & 9
Performances: May 10
No Class Dates: March 17-22 (Spring Break)
