On Pointe: Kids Lyrical

Lyrical Jazz is a weekly dance class designed to introduce expression into a dancer’s technical skills. They will learn how to tell a story through their dance as they learn lyrical jazz techniques. While previous dance experience is helpful, we welcome new dancers. A $83 costume fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other dance classes.

Level of Instruction: Intermediate

Equipment Needed: Dance attire is required, and lyrical shoes or “Foot Undeez” are encouraged.

Semester Dates: January 6 – May 3
Dress Rehearsals: May 8 & 9
Performances: May 10
No Class Dates: March 17-22 (Spring Break)
