Intermediate Combo (Ballet & Tap)

This weekly Intermediate Combo Dance class is designed to help young dancers expand their vocabulary in both ballet and tap. Focusing on proper form and building strength, we introduce movements and combinations while emphasizing the importance of musicality. Dancers will explore the nuances of rhythm, timing, and expression, learning how to connect to the music and bring their personal style into their performance. With a focus on both technique and creativity, this class provides an opportunity for young dancers to refine their skills, improve their coordination, and discover their expressive side.

A $40 costume rental fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is paid to The Dance Connection the first week of class. Rented costumes must be returned after the performance to avoid additional fees.

Level of Instruction: Intermediate

Equipment Needed: Pink ballet shoes for girls, black ballet shoes for boys, black tap shoes, and dance attire are required.

Semester Dates: August 11– December 4
Dress Rehearsals: December 1 & 2
Performances: December 3 & 4
No Class Dates: Sept 1 (Labor Day), Oct 31 (Halloween), Nov 24-29 (Thanksgiving Break)
