On Pointe: Level 3A Ballet & Contemporary

Level 3A Ballet & Contemporary

Students in this level have had previous dance experience and display and execute proper technique and placement while continuing to expand their repertoire. Students are technically advanced enough to enjoy focusing on the breath and quality of movement as they already have an understanding of the technique. A $35 ballet costume fee required to participate in Winter Performance is due to On Pointe on the first week of class. Dancers will also participate in a contemporary number in the end-of-semester performance and be required to acquire a simple costume. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 3&4 classes, Modern and Contemporary, and/or Teen Hip Hop.

Level of Instruction: Advanced

Equipment Needed: Black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers and jazz pants or shorts with dance top and jazz shoes/“Foot Undeez.” Hair should be pulled away from the face.
