Fundamentals of Landscape Painting in the Studio
Lorenzo Chavez | Ability: Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
Ages: 18+
We will focus on the how and why of landscape painting. Students will improve their composition skills, understand the importance of simplification of shapes and masses, learn about values, atmospheric perspective, create a center of interest, the use of edges, drawing and color. This workshop is for those who already enjoy working with pastels and/or oils or committed students who wish to experiment with these mediums. Students should have some basic drawing skills.

Advanced Landscape Painting in the Studio

Ages: 18+
Landscape paintings that begin with a strong foundation and interesting composition lead to more successfully finished pieces. This class is for dedicated landscape painters who want to take their artwork to a new level of quality. We will do exercises and painting challenges to help simplify and strengthen your compositions to produce more compelling paintings.
