Level 4 Pointe

This class is designed to help advanced dancers deepen their understanding of technique, working on everything from correct placement to intricate foot articulation, ensuring they are prepared for more demanding pointe choreography. As students progress, they will explore more difficult movements, improving their flexibility and endurance, while maintaining impeccable form. Perfect for those looking to elevate their pointe training and prepare for the most challenging aspects of ballet, this class pushes both physical and artistic boundaries.

A $40 costume rental fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is paid to The Dance Connection the first week of class. Rented costumes must be returned after the performance to avoid additional fees.

Level of Instruction: Advanced

Equipment Needed: Students are expected to wear a black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with pointe shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Registration Requirements: Must be simultaneously enrolled in Level 3A or 4A Ballet and Contemporary and Level 3B Ballet. Dancers must have already been approved for pointe work. Dancers must be taking a minimum of 2 additional ballet classes to dance en pointe.

Dress Rehearsals: December 1 & 2
Performances: December 3 & 4
No Class Dates: Sept 1 (Labor Day), Oct 31 (Halloween), Nov 24-29 (Thanksgiving Break)
