Level 4B Ballet

This Level 4B Ballet & Pointe class offers advanced dancers the opportunity to elevate their ballet technique and refine their pointe work to a higher level. Dancers in this class have a solid technical foundation and are prepared to push their placement, alignment, and execution with greater precision, fluidity, and ease. The class integrates advanced barre exercises, intricate center work, and complex across-the-floor combinations, all designed to challenge dancers’ strength, stamina, and artistry. Pointe work will be intensified, with students refining their balance, foot articulation, and dynamic transitions in more demanding choreography. This class goes beyond technique, encouraging dancers to explore movement quality, energy control, and personal expression, transforming each step into an artistic performance. Dancers may take this class in slippers or pointe shoes depending upon their experience.

A $40 costume rental fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is paid to The Dance Connection the first week of class. Rented costumes must be returned after the performance to avoid additional fees. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 3&4 classes and Modern and Contemporary and/or Teen Hip Hop.

Level of Instruction: Advanced

Equipment Needed: Students are expected to wear a black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Registration Requirements: Dancers should have at least 2 years of en pointe experience. Dancers must be taking a minimum of 2 additional ballet classes to dance en pointe.

Dress Rehearsals: December 1 & 2
Performances: December 3 & 4
No Class Dates: Sept 1 (Labor Day), Oct 31 (Halloween), Nov 24-29 (Thanksgiving Break)
