Level 3A Ballet & Contemporary

Designed for advanced students with previous dance experience, Level 3A Ballet & Contemporary takes your technique to the next level. Dancers in this class already have a strong foundation in ballet and are ready to deepen their understanding of movement quality, breath control, and emotional expression. Through a combination of classical ballet exercises and contemporary choreography, students will continue to refine their technical execution, improve placement, and expand their dance vocabulary. This class encourages dancers to connect with the music and their own physicality, allowing for more fluid and expressive movement. It’s the perfect setting for dancers who are ready to enhance their artistry and technical skills in both ballet and contemporary styles.

A $80 costume rental fee ($40 for each costume) is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is paid to The Dance Connection the first week of class. Dancers will receive one ballet costume and one jazz/contemporary costume. Rented costumes must be returned after the performance to avoid additional fees. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 3 or 4 classes, Teen Modern, and Teen Hip Hop classes.

Level of Instruction: Advanced

Equipment Needed: Black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers and jazz pants or shorts with dance top and jazz shoes/Foot Undeez. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

To support dancers taking multiple classes, tDC will offer the following tuition discounts starting August 2025:
• 10% off for students enrolled in 3.5 to 6.99 hours of classes per week
• 15% off for students enrolled in 7 or more hours per week
