Guitar Workshop with The Hunts

Learn from The Hunts in this one hour guitar workshop that covers a wide variety of topics, including daily exercises for strength, establishing good habits, setting goals, the importance of consistent practice, proper posture, maintenance and tuning of instruments, tips for improving, and striving for excellence. Students will spend time with The Hunts practicing these skills and discussing diverse musical styles and community involvement in the arts. The workshop culminates with participants learning two of the group’s original songs Make This Leap, Illuminate and Above the Storm. Ages 12-25 and all experience levels welcome. Students will be divided into groups according to their age and experience levels. Don’t miss this opportunity to work with touring musicians!

Audition Tune-Up! with Mark Epperson

Ages: 13+
In this workshop, we'll pop the hood on your audition and acting engine. There are a number of things that will help you have a smooth ride: selecting material, knowing your type, making choices, character preparation, and more. Through exercises, performing and learning from one another, and wisdom for the road, you will leave this workshop with increased confidence as you head into your next audition. There will also be time for a Q&A with guest speaker, Mark Epperson.

Mark Epperson moved from Colorado to New York City and turned "the biz" into a second life at age 40. Over the last nine years, he has learned much through failure and success and is happy to share the knowledge from along the way. He's played characters like Billy Flynn (Chicago), Julian Marsh (42nd Street), and Sam Carmichael (Mamma Mia!), to name a few. Based in New York City, Mark has performed in New York City, on cruise ships, and in regional theaters, but he's very glad to be back in Colorado for a few weeks before productions of Mamma Mia! and It Shoulda Been You later this summer.

Monologue Master Class

Ages: 12-18
Join actor, director, and theater scholar Dr. Amy Osatinski, Inspire Creative's Education Program Director for an informative master class where she will illuminate the art of preparing and performing monologues. Participants are encouraged to bring prepared monologues, and several will be able to be a part of the class.

Musical Theater Jazz Master Class

Join Tobi Compton, an accomplished dancer and choreographer who has worked on numerous Inspire Creative musicals, for an intense two hour master class to hone your skills in musical theater jazz dance.
