Rockin' Rockets Camp - Spring Break

Ages: 5-10
With SpaceTime’s Rockin Rockets Camp, kids will get to do just about everything there is to do with rockets… short of riding one into space! They will go on a wild ride into the fascinating science of rocketry and space exploration by learning about the many challenges of getting into space, and go hands-on to build and launch safe, child-friendly rockets creating a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to leave the earth. Activities include discussing the science and history of rocketry, crafting their own SpaceTime Blaster Rockets, and launching lots of different kinds of rockets.

Parker Arts Variety Camp - Spring Break

Ages: 5-12
Join us for a best-of Parker Arts variety camp where kids will explore a different topic each day.Monday – Science! Tuesday – Cooking! Wednesday – Arts! Thursday – Theater! Friday – Western Day! Kids will have a diverse and exciting week of learning over spring break.
Monday: Science – Explore science concepts, including solubility, density, miscibility, and many more, through color.  We'll make colorful explosions, test kaleidoscopic solubility, and perform vibrant chromatic experiments.
Tuesday:  Cooking – Learn to make Creamy Asparagus Chicken Penne Pasta, Strawberry Mandarin Orange Tossed Salad, Bunny Rolls, and Easter Basket Cookies. Class taught by Ms. Karon in the professional PACE kitchen.
Wednesday: Art – Complete a detailed drawing of a “Stack of Animals”. Create colorful Sculpey clay miniatures and complete a simple weaving project with KidzArt!
Thursday: Theater – Explore the world of theater with Ms. Alyssa! Kids will work together to perform scenes from classic stories. Each child will get to play a variety of different characters throughout the day in addition to learning theater games.
Friday: Wrap up the week with a Western Day. Learn how to line dance with Ms. Joy, create your own stars and horseshoes tic-tac-toe game, and write your own tall tale to share around the campfire.

2019 Summer Camps - Registration opens February 18

Science Rocks! Summer Camp

Ages: 5-12
Explore spectacular days of science through fun and exciting hands-on activities/experiments.  We'll experience gooey science and adhesive/cohesive properties when we make our own polymer slime.  We'll explore the magic of chemistry when we experiment with common household ingredients and test their acidity/alkalinity.  We'll also create loopy fliers, tie dye t-shirts, grow colorful crystals, and concoct delicious ice cream, just to name a few!  We'll learn many new science concepts, including gravity, electricity, acids/bases, magnets, rocks and minerals, density, miscibility, physical and chemical changes, three states of matter, and lots more! Students should bring a peanut-free snack and spill-proof water bottle each day. Additional $15 supply fee payable to Sheila Labo on first day of camp.

Drone Academy

Ages: 8-12
Learn to fly a drone – then name and fly your own drone by the end of the week. Go to flight school to practice the basics of operating a drone safely. As we get more advanced, we’ll navigate an aerial obstacle course. In the meantime – we’ll play with a variety of other flying machines and explore the four forces of flight. Campers must be entering the 3rd grade to participate.

Harry Potter Magical Engineering

Ages: 5-6
Explore the magic of Harry Potter using LEGO®! Find Platform 9 ¾, build Hogwarts Express Train, work cooperatively to construct the mysterious Hogwarts Castle, and soar on the wings of a Norwegian Ridgeback dragon. Travel to a world of wizardry and hone your magical skills while learning about Muggle (STEM) concepts.

Harry Potter Master Engineering

Ages: 7-12
Master the magic of Harry Potter using LEGO®! Build Diagon Alley in preparation for your trip to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hop on your broomstick and play Quidditch, challenge the serpentine Basilisk, and face the evil Voldemort. Hone your magical skills while learning about advanced Muggle (STEM) concepts.

Heroes Week

Ages: 7-12
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's...Heroes Week! Students will join other engineers their age as they seek ways to protect the world and save mankind in the process. They will join a league of heroes and will compete against other leagues by performing engineering-related challenges, such as saving an ecosystem from a potentially lethal oil spill. Only one group will end the week as the ultimate league of super heroes!

Mission to the Moon

Ages: 5-10
SpaceTime’s ALL NEW Mission to the Moon camp takes children on a virtual 240,000-mile adventure to set up a base on Earth's nearest neighbor in space.  Students will learn about the nature of the moon, get to design, operate and launch exploration missions from their own moon base and, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings, relive the real adventure of rocketing from the Earth to the Moon.

Robo Quest

Ages: 8-12
Use your imagination and the power of science to build different mini bots; a bot that draws and a Sumo bot that’s up to battle. All aboard as we make a Science Matters Electromagnetic Train. (You won’t believe how cool this train is!) Finally, design your own Cubelet robot to do your bidding. Your robot will move depending on how YOU construct it! Circuits, buzzing lights, and motors galore in this super-fun camp! Campers must be entering the 3rd grade to participate.

Ocean Blue

Ages: 5-12
Come take a dive into the world of Marine Biology and Oceanography. Dissect a real shark, design your own fish, and bring to life genuine Triassic Triops. Examine sea shells from the sea shore and make a cool design to take home. We’ll continue the fun and examine the anatomy of a fish and make fish print T-shirts. We’ll finish the week and come face-to-face with some unique sea creatures such as a squid. Jump right in for an adventure under the sea.

Robotics using WeDo

Ages: 7-8
Build and program robots in this introductory robotics class using the LEGO® WeDo® system. Learn basic programming skills, simple engineering concepts, and the names of robot components.  Work in small groups to complete several projects using tilt and motion sensors.  This is a great way to prepare young robotics enthusiasts for our more advanced Robotics programs.

Robotics using EV3

Ages: 9-14
Build and program robots using the LEGO® Mindstorms® EV3 system! Learn about mechanical and software design, loops, conditional statements, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Work in small groups, program and build your robot, and rise to the challenge. Control the robot to avoid obstacles, pick up and carry objects, and play sounds. Projects are structured so that students work in an open-ended, investigative environment while having fun.

NASA – Journey into Space

Ages: 6-12
Developed in partnership with NASA, this camp will send future space explorers on a trajectory from our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system – and everywhere in between! Learn about current innovations in space travel – as well as what scientists have planned for the future. This hands-on program will bring kids face-to-face with the stars, planets, comets and more through a series of exciting hands-on activities and exciting demonstrations of a model rocket launch and fun take home projects. Grab your astronaut suits, it’s time to journey into space!

Space Chase

Ages: 5-10
SpaceTime's Space Chase camp is a hands-on, minds-on outer space adventure where children get to work individually and in teams to try and track down an alien mad scientist determined to turn off the Sun. It's non-stop fun and learning as they test out their spaceship and rover piloting skills, go hands-on for some out-of-this-world classroom space science experiments and put on their space detective hats to try and figure out how to catch this crafty extraterrestrial.

A Week of Geek

Ages: 9-14
Embrace your inner geek! This is an amazing camp for kids that want a hands-on experience with all types of technology. Learn computer programming for video games, design and print your own creation on a 3D printer, produce your own stop motion animation, construct and battle sumo robots with LEGO Mindstorms, and build your own electronics project. Students should provide their own laptop, mobile device, and peanut-free lunch each day. Take home your custom 3D print, completed electronics project, stop-motion movie and a special Summer Camp shirt. (Additional $100 equipment and supply fee payable to Cleverlike on the first day of camp.)
