Science Rocks! Summer Camp


Ages: 5-12
Explore spectacular days of science through fun and exciting hands-on activities and lots of take-home projects!  We’ll experience sweet science when we experiment with your favorite candies, and the magic of chemistry when we explore common household ingredients. We’ll also blast off our own Pocket Rockets, grow colorful crystals, create soda pop, and concoct delicious ice cream, just to name a few. We will learn lots of new science concepts, including electricity, gravity, magnets, rocks and minerals, density, miscibility, physical and chemical changes, three states of matter, and lots more!

Rocket Blast


Ages: 5-12
Rocket Blast is SpaceTime™s “best of” rockets and space mission camp program.  It combines the most popular elements of our three other rocket science programs into one hands-on, fun-packed rocket building and launching adventure and includes lots of all new elements for hours of serious rocket craziness. It also includes lots of new elements associated with real space missions including the Saturn Cassini mission, the Pluto New Horizons mission, The Mars Curiosity mission and many others developed through our NASA Science Educators program. Full day students should bring a peanut-free sack lunch; all campers should bring a snack and water bottle each day.

KidzArt: Ignite the Light! Art Meets Science Camp


Ages: 5-12
Science and art were never this much fun!  Make a simple circuit to light up your painting!  Create your own glow-in-the-dark dice and learn some new games to play with the dice. Paint with all the colors of the Solar Wind.  We will make treasure boxes, along with neon, black light and fluorescent designs that will help you discover the fun you can have with light. Join us as we offer a creative experience geared to stretch minds, introduce simple science and encourage imagination. Bring a water bottle and peanut-free snack each day. KidzArt T-Shirt included.

Super Sleuth Spy Academy


Ages: 6-11
James Bond? MacGyver? Austin Powers? Do you think you have what it takes to discover "who done it"? If so, this camp is for you! Secret communications and detective crime science, the inner workings of security systems, and mysteries to solve are part of this exciting week. Each day we find tools and techniques to complete missions without being foiled or detected to become the ultimate spy!

Ages: 5-6
The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

I Want to be an Astronaut


Ages: 5-12
With SpaceTime's I Want to be an Astronaut camp kids get to see and feel what it is like to train for launching into space and exploring the planets, moons, comets and asteroids of our Solar System.  They will learn about the programs that NASA uses to get astronauts ready for space travel, design their own space missions, try planet walking in our Micro Gravity Boots, experience a simulated rocket launch and more. Students should bring a peanut-free snack and water bottle each day.

Mine, Craft, Build: Adventure Game with LEGO


Ages: 5-6
Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® materials! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village! This experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® materials.

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® materials! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, craft tools, and watch out for Creepers! This ultimate Play-Well Minecraft experience using LEGO® materials is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors, using gameplay elements and characters inspired by the popular Minecraft video game. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® materials.

Drone Academy


Ages: 8-12
Learn to fly a drone – then fly your very own nano drone. We’ll have plenty of flight time to practice. Be ready to name your done. Go to flight school with plenty of flight time to practice the basics of operating a drone safely. As we get more advanced, we’ll navigate an aerial obstacle course. In the meantime – we’ll play with a variety of other flying machines and explore the four forces of flight. Campers must be entering the 3rd grade to participate.

A Week of Geek


Ages: 9-14
Embrace your inner geek!  This is an amazing camp for kids that want a hands-on experience with all types of technology. Learn computer programming in Minecraft, design and print your own creation on a 3D printer, produce your own stop-motion animation, construct and battle sumo robots with LEGO Mindstorms, and build your own electronics project.  Students should provide their own laptop, mobile device, and peanut-free lunch each day. (Take home your custom 3D print, completed electronics project, stop-motion movie and a hand-made Deep Space T-Shirt.)

Outrageous Invention Convention


Ages: 5-12
Calling all inventors and engineers: show off your crazy skills in the Engineering X Challenge, a daily series of team and individual challenges that apply creativity and engineering skills. Over the week, work together as a team to build a deluxe El Bram RG Machine. Become a Maker by making a working pinhole camera. We’ll run the El Bram RG Machines at the end of the week to see which works the best. Bring your mental-hammer to enter the Convention of Inventors and Engineers with peers just like you.
