Exciting changes are taking place at The Schoolhouse
Therefore, the building will be closed for renovations until February of 2018. During this time, the 200-seat theater will getnew seating and risers, which will enhance patron comfort and sight lines. The restrooms will be updated and the lobby expanded, with a dedicated concession counter that will vastly speed up drink and snack service. The updated dance studio downstairs in The Schoolhouse will accommodate many more students. Walls have been removed and wood floors and windows restored, creating an open and airy main hall. Two new, charming rental spaceswill now overlook Mainstreet, and will be perfect for special events, including wedding receptions and business meetings.
We are thrilled about these changes and know that they will greatly enhance your experience at The Schoolhouse. We can’t wait for you to see them for yourself!
The Schoolhouse at Mainstreet
19650 E. Mainstreet - Parker, CO 80138
The Schoolhouse Theater at Mainstreet offers productions with the classic feel you only get from a small theater in an historic building. Originally opened in 1915 and operated as a school until 1967, the Schoolhouse at Mainstreet was acquired in 1995 by the Town of Parker to use as a community center for cultural and recreational activities. The theater provides arena thrust seating for 200, and is equipped with standard theatrical lighting and sound systems. It's a great venue for a variety of modest productions, including community theater and children's performances, and a wide array of concerts and recitals.
