Discovery Park Free Summer Concert Series General Rules
Discovery Park is a Town of Parker park and is subject to all rules, etiquette and regulations as stated by the Town of Parker at the following web address: http://parkerrec.com/1923/Trail-and-Park-Etiquette-Safety-and-Regulations
The following items are examples of what is allowed during the Free Summer Concert Series: coolers, cloth bags, picnic baskets, strollers, eating utensils, lawn chairs (under 32” tall), service animals.
The following items are examples of what is not allowed: alcohol, marijuana, glass containers, fireworks, candles, grills, drones, animals other than service animals.
Climbing on town facilities and installed art is not permitted.
Smoking, in any form, is not allowed within 15’ of any entrance into a Town of Parker building. During the Free Summer Concert Series, smoking is not allowed within the seating area of any performance.
Alcohol Possession and Consumption
Alcohol possession and consumption is allowed at Discovery Park (glass containers prohibited) during the hours of 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the following concert dates: May 30; June 13, 20 and 27; July 11, 18 and 25; and August 1. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and are scheduled to end around 8 p.m.
All concerts are held rain or shine. If inclement weather occurs, concert activities will be stopped until event staff determines it is safe to continue. Any weather-related actions will be relayed through Discovery Park’s public announcement system.
There is limited seating in Discovery Park located around the fire pits and buildings around the skating ribbon.
Personal camping, stadium or lawn chairs no taller than 32” at the back are allowed. Stools are not allowed. Chair height will be subject to inspection. Seat cushions are allowed.
Blankets no larger than 8’x8’ are allowed. For high-attended events, patrons may be asked to condense their blanketed areas if seating becomes crowded.
Umbrellas, shade tents and other large items are only allowed in the back and along the sides of Discovery Park. Any item found to be obstructing the views of others may be relocated or removed from the event.
Certain areas of the park are marked off before each concert to create aisles and provide a more comfortable concert experience and allow for emergency access. Seating in these areas will not be allowed.
Discovery Park is wheelchair accessible with handicap parking available on the East and West sides of the park. There are no wheelchairs available to rent and transportation to and from the seating area is not provided.
Parking is free and available as first come-first served. Please consult the attached map for available options. Some parking may be reserved for other events and activities. Please observe all permanent or temporary parking signs, staff attended lots and coned or roped areas.
There is a concession stand available on site and periodic food trucks with a variety of food available to purchase.
Alcohol may not be brought into the park.
