Parker Symphony Orchestra: Destination Europe
Join us as we embark on a musical cruise around the world to celebrate 30 years of bringing music to Parker and beyond!
We depart from home to our first destination, Europe, and begin our journey with Mozart’s thrilling “Overture to the Magic Flute” followed by the delightful melodies of Enesco’s “Rumanian Rhapsody #1” and Glière’s exhilarating “Russian Sailor’s Dance.” The voyage culminates with Beethoven’s Violin Concerto featuring the exceptional Colorado Symphony Concertmaster, Yumi Hwang-Williams.
ABOUT THE PARKER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Parker Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer community orchestra that performs at the PACE Center from October to May. Founded in 1994, our 2023-24 season will be our 30th year together. Formerly the South Suburban Community Orchestra, we became the Parker Symphony Orchestra in 2011. Our mission is to perform orchestral music that will educate, entertain, and inspire the people of Parker, our musicians, and the surrounding Denver-area communities.
