Sketch Comedy FUNdamentals - Part II Casting, Rehearsing and Performing

Join Grant Garrison, a graduate of the prestigious Second City Conservatory for Improv Actors, in Chicago for eight weeks as you take the sketch material written in Part One, and begin casting, and rehearsing the material until it is ready to perform! Using improvisational acting, we will analyze our improv scenes to review what worked, why it worked and how to improve the scene until it grows into a prepared sketch. All students will laugh and bond together using a wide range of improv exercises and techniques as the students write without ever writing anything down on paper. The semester will end in a ticketed performance at The Schoolhouse Theater on June 19. The Fundamentals of Improv Comedy or other improv training is strongly suggested as a prerequisite, but not required.
