On Pointe: Level 3A Ballet & Contemporary

Level 3A Ballet & Contemporary

Students in this level have had previous dance experience and display and execute proper technique and placement while continuing to expand their repertoire. Students are technically advanced enough to enjoy focusing on the breath and quality of movement as they already have an understanding of the technique. A $40 costume fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 3 or 4 classes, Teen Modern, and Teen Hip Hop classes.

Level of Instruction: Advanced

Equipment Needed: Black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers and jazz pants or shorts with dance top and jazz shoes/“Foot Undeez.” Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Semester Dates: Aug. 12 – Dec. 7
Dress Rehearsals: Dec. 2 & 3
Performances: Dec. 4 & 5
Costume Drop Off: Friday, Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

No Class Dates: Sep. 2 (Labor Day), Oct. 31 (Halloween), and Nov. 25-30 (Thanksgiving Break)
