On Pointe: Level 2A Ballet & Contemporary

Students in this level are expected to have some previous dance or gymnastic training. Dancers enjoy becoming a well-rounded dancer by working on technique and endurance. Dancers learn and memorize choreography as they prepare to perform on stage. The $35 costume fee required to participate in the end-of-semester performance is due to On Pointe on the first week of class. Dancers will also participate in a jazz number in the Winter Performance and be required to acquire a simple costume. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 2 classes, Lyrical and Contemporary Jazz and/or a Hip Hop class.

Level of Instruction: Intermediate to Advanced

Equipment Needed: Black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers and jazz pants or shorts with dance top and jazz shoes/“Foot Undeez.” Hair should be pulled away from the face.
