On Pointe: Level 2A Ballet & Jazz

Students in this level are expected to have some previous dance or gymnastic training. Dancers enjoy becoming a well-rounded dancer by working on technique and endurance. Dancers learn and memorize choreography as they prepare to perform on stage. A $40 costume fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 2 classes, Preteen Lyrical and Preteen Hip Hop.

Level of Instruction: Intermediate to Advanced

Equipment Needed: Black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with ballet slippers and jazz pants or shorts with dance top and jazz shoes/“Foot Undeez.” Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Semester Dates: Aug. 12 – Dec. 7
Dress Rehearsals: Dec. 2 & 3
Performances: Dec. 4 & 5
Costume Drop Off: Friday, Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

No Class Dates: Sep. 2 (Labor Day), Oct. 31 (Halloween), and Nov. 25-30 (Thanksgiving Break)
