Artist Statement, 2021
We live in a magical place called Earth. Over the summer of 2020, everyone had the opportunity to see the comet, Neowise, fly through our skies. I enjoy getting out in nature and taking in all that is around me. The image, Comet Lake, was created based on a number of my outings and represents all the wonderful things in life that are as near as our closest state parks and open spaces. The combination of images gave me the feeling of being out of this world and comforting. Enjoy.
