Level 5B Ballet & Pointe
This class offers a 75-minute weekly session focused on building strength, perfecting technique, and elevating overall proficiency in the art of dancing en pointe. A $40 costume fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class.
Level of Instruction: Advanced
Equipment Needed: Students are expected to wear a black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with pointe shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.
Registration Requirements: Must be simultaneously enrolled in 4A or 5A Ballet and Contemporary. Dancers must be taking a minimum of two additional ballet classes to dance en pointe.
Semester Dates: Aug. 12 – Dec. 7
Dress Rehearsals: Dec. 2 & 3
Performances: Dec. 4 & 5
Costume Drop Off: Friday, Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
No Class Dates: Sep. 2 (Labor Day), Oct. 31 (Halloween), and Nov. 25-30 (Thanksgiving Break)
