On Pointe: Preteen Hip Hop

Preteen Hip Hop

Our class is designed to help kids unleash their energy and express themselves through movement. We offer them a chance to connect with the music and dance culture as they pop, lock, and breakdance, feeling the floor beneath them. A $40 costume fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class. Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Level 1 or 2 classes, and/or Preteen Lyrical.

Level of Instruction: Beginning to Intermediate

Equipment Needed: Clothing easily move in, and dedicated studio tennis shoes are encouraged.

Semester Dates: Aug. 12 – Dec. 7
Dress Rehearsals: Dec. 2 & 3
Performances: Dec. 4 & 5
Costume Drop Off: Friday, Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

No Class Dates: Sep. 2 (Labor Day), Oct. 31 (Halloween), and Nov. 25-30 (Thanksgiving Break)
