On Pointe: Level 3 Pointe

Level 3 Pointe

This class is a 30-minute weekly class to focus on developing strength, technique and ability while dancing en pointe. A $40 costume fee is required to participate in the end of semester performance and is due to On Pointe the first week of class.

Skills Learned: Skills Learned: En pointe work

Equipment Needed: Students are expected to wear a black dance leotard and pink ballet tights with pointe shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Registration Requirements: Must be simultaneously enrolled in Level 3A or 4A Ballet and Contemporary and Level 3B Ballet. Dancers must have already been approved for pointe work. Dancers must be taking a minimum of 2 additional ballet classes to dance en pointe.

Semester Dates: Aug. 12 – Dec. 7
Dress Rehearsals: Dec. 2 & 3
Performances: Dec. 4 & 5
Costume Drop Off: Friday, Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

No Class Dates: Sep. 2 (Labor Day), Oct. 31 (Halloween), and Nov. 25-30 (Thanksgiving Break)
