Supplemental Programming

This school year looks different for families in Douglas County, and Parker Arts wants to help by providing day-time educational programming twice a week designed for kids to engage in hands-on science and art projects in a safe small-group environment.

Enroll for either Mondays and Wednesdays OR Tuesdays and Thursdays, depending on the days your student(s) will be doing their independent learning at home as part of the new DCSD hybrid schedule. Sessions run for two consecutive weeks.

Science and Arts Exploration – Session A

Ages: 5-12
Explore science and art concepts through fun and tasty hands-on activities. We will be performing endothermic and exothermic reactions (chemical changes that release or absorb heat) observing states of matter by making (and tasting) root beer floats and butter. We’ll create chromatography (separating colors in a mixture) fall leaf banners, painted photo holders, and textural drawings using oil pastels, just to name a few!
