ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises classrooms, instructors, and students with facilitating program rules, regulations, and safety concerns.Communicates and responds to cultural instructor requirements including: classroom accommodations and equipment, rosters and registrations, and relaying any patron communications.Ensure proper classroom setup and equipment with facility schedule, classroom renderings, and onsite oversight.Communicates and responds to patron inquiries including class status and information, and registrations.Acts as a public contact for Parker Arts Education and oversees the registration process by managing class registrations, rosters, cancellations, refunds; responds to student/parent/patron inquiries in a timely manner; cash handling; attendance tracking and reporting; general communication to staff, cultural instructors, students, and patrons; supports Box Office staff to ensure a smooth online and in-person registration process.Assists with summer camp management and oversite:Classroom set up/take down; Prepares and manages camp roster folders; Oversees parent sign in/out procedures; Monitors lunch bunch students, facilitates bathroom breaks for students as necessary; Addresses behavioral concerns and incidents on an as-needed basis; Maintains a safe and positive environment for all children inside the classroom and during outdoor activities. PERIPHERAL DUTIES:On occasion, may be responsible for coordinating payments with the Education Manager to ensure that businesses, contractors and vendors are paid in a timely manner for products and/or services rendered.Provide marketing and promotional support for Cultural Department Education programs and events.HOURS:May vary and are negotiable.Preferred schedule: Monday thru Friday 3pm – 8pm. June & July 11am – 4pm.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must be 16 years of age or older.The ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background, including but not limited to CBI/FBI criminal record check, Department of Social Services Central Registry check and drug screen is required. Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.One (1) year of experience working with and supervising school age children in a group setting is strongly preferred.A combination of education and experience to provide the following knowledge, skills and abilities.NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to successfully implement philosophies, methods, policies and procedures that will assist in the achievement of Town and Cultural Department goals.Professional appearance, demeanor, attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with changing priorities.Proficient at Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.,), social media, and other technologies.Self-motivated, takes initiative, ability to learn quickly.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.Ability to analyze situations carefully and adopt effective courses of action using problem-solving techniques.
