Remembering Richard

August 4, 1984 - July 18, 2017

Help us celebrate the life of our co-worker and friend, Richard Spomer, who was our remarkable Production Manager. He was an instrumental part of numerous Parker Arts' productions over the years, from “Always Patsy Cline” to our most recent production “Hairspray.” He also shared his expertise with The Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company, and Lone Tree Performing Arts Center, just to name a few. Read more about Richard's life and accomplishments here.

Richard was intelligent, quick-witted, funny, and a source of light. In the literal sense, Richard was a Stage & Lighting Technician, with a passion for theater and a talent for bringing the stage to life. In a figurative sense, Richard was a light in the lives of the people that were lucky enough to get to know him. As a co-worker, friend, mentor, and extraordinary human being, his contribution is immeasurable and we cannot thank him enough for the positive impact he has made. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all those grieving in his absence.

Although our theater is a little bit dimmer now, we know that Richard has found his place amongst the stars and will continue to shine on all the right cues.
