As an experienced teacher and community leader, Jeannine Colley has served her community with enthusiasm. Through more than 30 years of teaching, she has enjoyed working with students from preschoolers, to senior citizens. The classroom has found her primarily in middle and high schools, exploring the subjects of science and health, and encouraging the team approach and inquiry learning. She has a passion for helping the youth of today understand their role as the adults of tomorrow—especially the importance of living sustainably with each other and the land. To that end, she has worked extensively in leadership programs which emphasize personal stewardship, and has also helped in the development and implementation of several programs that emphasize environmental awareness and care of the land. She is currently involved as a presenter on behalf of pollinators, and has helped several schools and organizations create pollinator-friendly gardens.
