Located adjacent to the Parker Arts, Culture & Events Center (PACE), right behind Ruth Memorial Chapel, The Schoolhouse at Mainstreet is one of the historical buildings in Parker’s Old Town Creative District. Originally opened in 1915 as the Parker Schoolhouse, the building served for many years as a school and a church, until the Town of Parker acquired it in 1995 to use its auditorium, gymnasium and classrooms for community, cultural and recreational activities. The building houses an art gallery, operated in partnership with the Parker Artists Guild, and one of the classrooms is a dedicated history room, showcasing historical artifacts that represent what a schoolroom may have been like during the first half of the 20th century.
